We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus and His commands:
– Confession
“Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ the Son of God.'” (Matthew 16:16)
– Repentance
“When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers, what shall we do?’ Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'” (Acts 2:37-38)
– Baptism by immersion
“Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Romans 6:3-4)
– Growth after receiving salvation
“For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves to sin.” (Romans 6:6)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against these things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)
